Luxurious cars, expensive garments, and enjoying all the best that life has to offer. Yes, that's probably how we would, in short, describe the essence of life in Dubai at night. With so many things to see and do, deciding and planning your night out when you visit for the first time is probably overwhelming. That's where we come to the rescue! Check out our guide to get a taste of the creme de la creme of Dubai nightlife.

How should you dress?
The first thing everyone has in mind when going out is - what will I wear? UAE is a Muslim country, so it's no surprise you'll take this part of going to the clubs more seriously. After all - you don't want to offend anyone. Contrary to popular belief, you won't have to restrict yourself and your choice of clothing as much as you thought you would.

Nightclub dress standards in Dubai are similar to those in other major metropolises. Everyone who shows up in shorts or jeans will be sent away. Women may feel comfortable in dresses and miniskirts (you can dress like a Miss Universe if you want, as long as your dress is not too short), while males are expected to look presentable but are free to dress casually if they like.

When do Dubai's nightclubs open?

The majority of Dubai's nightclubs don't open until 9 p.m. and are often closed by 3 a.m. For the most part, clubs in Dubai close at 3 a.m., although on event nights, those with a special license may remain up until 4 a.m. As everywhere in the world, the weekend and Fridays are prime opening and peak business days for most nightclubs.

Also, it's worth mentioning that women's evenings are becoming more popular at hotels and clubs in Dubai, a tourist mecca in the United Arab Emirates. Several bars and restaurants throw "ladies' evenings" and provide complimentary appetizers and beverages to the attendees.

There is a time and place for alcohol

One of the biggest concerns people from the West have when coming to Dubai is whether or not they’d be able to have alcohol. No, you won't be put to jail if you enjoy a nice cocktail. However, if you get drunk in the middle of the day or in public, you might be facing some jail time. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is an exemplary Muslim nation. One of the worst signs of disrespect is openly drinking alcohol in public or going shirtless in public. But, if you're an adult, you're free to enjoy all the different kinds of cocktails and drinks in the comfort of your hotel room or a club you're in. However, experts at DubaiPT suggest that you still don't overdo it, as alcohol can have a significant negative impact on your physical wellbeing.

Forget about the PDA

Even though Dubai is quite open and accepting of other cultures and tourists, the one thing that is not tolerable is openly showing closeness and affection to your partner. The religion of the majority of people living in Dubai forbids close man-woman relationships outside of marriage, so they consider it inappropriate to go out and hold hands, hug or kiss your partner in public. The “no PDA” rule applies to married couples, too, as the locals would feel uncomfortable seeing it.

Where should you go?

Now that you know what to wear and how to behave - it's time to decide where you will go. As far as we're concerned, you probably won't make a huge mistake just by entering any place you lay your eyes on. But, for the best experience, we suggest the following:
Atmosphere Grill & Lounge
Adda Bar & Lounge
Cavalli
Atmosphere Grill & Lounge
The fact that Atmosphere is the highest restaurant in the world thanks to its perch atop the world's tallest structure (the Burj Khalifa) is a boon in and of itself. At the restaurant, you may have a delicious meal while taking in the view. In the lounge, you can relax and watch TV. Check it out for the beautiful sunsets while sipping high tea in exquisite surroundings and on account of the restaurant's world-class food and affordable prices (well, given the wonderful view).

Adda Bar & Lounge

As Dubai leaves no one out, if you're a vegan, you're in for a treat too. The vegan options at Adda Bar & Lounge are vibrant and full of flavor. Tofu bhel is offered, which combines traditional Indian street food with edamame and tofu from Japan. Anarkali Bao, a unique house beet cake served with steamed bao and a vegan coleslaw, Uthappa taco, vegan repu nachos, vegan soy kheema, vegan cheese, corn tortilla, vegan makhani gravy, salsa and guacamole. Even if your personal trainer and nutritionist made you a strict vegan meal plan tailored to your needs, you could enjoy the delicious things here guilt-free.

Cavalli

Cavalli is a staple of Dubai's party scene, known for its extravagant décor, innovative performances, and glamorous clientele. This ritzy establishment is the best place to dress to impress for a night out. This is the place you'll go to in a fancy car wearing a fancy dress. From the enormous crystal chandeliers to the animal print pillows, this space oozes extravagant grandeur (and even a furry wall).
On Tuesdays, ladies' night, they provide a special three-course meal only for them. On Thursdays, there are supper performances just for them. No matter how many people show up, the dance floor is sure to have something spectacular. There are aerial hoop acts, silk dancers, and glitter cannons. Cavalli is a safe bet if you want to go out and see a performance. You'll truly feel like a part of the nightlife in Dubai.
